WHAT WE DO

The Research and Awareness House is a formulation of contextual Christian history, presence and future research documentations that attempts to address the problems facing the Holy Land Christians. It emphasizes on their real life and practice that has often not been obvious or explained either to local and international Christians. Providing such research information gives the opportunity for Christians to have a clearer picture about our Christian beliefs and practices.

The Story of the Mission Four Corners’ Cross

This particular Cross was chosen to represent our Research and Awareness House, which is highly significant for our Mission. The mentioned Cross can be found in the Angel Chapel, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. In this location Jesus was Crucified, Buried, and Resurrected. On entering the Edicule, which is raised over Christ's Tomb, one finds oneself in the vestibule known as the Chapel of the Angel, in memory of the young man clothed in white robes who the women saw sitting in the tomb the morning following the Sabbath, and from whom they heard the announcement of the Resurrection. In 1808, there was a highly destructive fire, and the Edicule was restored again 1810. The decorations, and the Cross, a Hybrid design, is a combination of Eastern and Western traditions that can be located in the restored Edicule of 1810. The four leafs and the four points on the Cross represent the four corners of the World. This is symbolic with the "Resurrection of Jesus and His commitment to the Nation. People praise Christ our God who willingly endured the Cross for us and dwelt in Hades for three days and worshiped His resurrection from the dead, through which everything was illumined to the end of the world."
